Butterflies, rainbows and the raw beauty of the Matavera coastline.

We first met Imai at the Saturday market (Punanga Nui), and then found that she lived not far from us, in our uncle’s rental property.

At the time of the photoshoot she was just a week from her due date, so (even with less-than-favourable weather forecast), we were quick to scout locations around the eastern coast of the island.

As it turns out, the coral coast was a big part of Imai’s pregnancy and provided the perfect setting for photography, along with a late-afternoon rainbow.
